Getting There

A Few Quick Tips:

Downtown Winnipeg welcomes tens of thousands of families for the parade, so a little advance planning will help you and your elves get to the right spot.

  1. Give yourself lots of time! Traffic is tight, especially after the roads start closing at 1:30 p.m.
  2. Plan your trip in advance. Plan your transit route, or which parking lot to aim for. Have a plan B, just in case.
  3. Be safe. With so many people arriving at once, patience, caution and - we can't stress it enough - plenty of time are important.

Winnipeg Transit can be an easy and affordable way to get to the parade and back home again. Plan your trip here: Navigo, the online Trip Planner.

Note: some regular routes will be re-routed to make room for Santa and his sleigh.

View the map below, call 311 or visit the Winnipeg Transit website for additional route and schedule information.

Handi-transit will provide access to select accessible seating areas on parade day.
